This morning we had a crop duster come in and spray our soybeans for aphids. He got really low, on some of the pictures you can see how his wheels were only like 3 feet above the soybeans.

Farmer's market
This morning we got up early and picked some sweet corn to take to the farmer's market in Ashley. We picked around 15 dozen cobs. Mom sent some garden stuff with us too. And so us 5 kids went over to Ashley for a few hours and got everything sold except a head of cabbage, and like 12 cobs of corn.
Look I tell you, lift up your eyes, and see that the fields are white for Harvest. John 4:35

WORKING CALVES
Lately we've had some sick calves. It has something to do with their lungs and we are suspecting it to have something to do with all the blizzards, hot days, and storms we've had this last year. So Yesterday we worked around 180 to 200 of our calves through a portable coral. The Vet said some other guys are having some problems too and that they aren't quite sure what it is. We got 4 of our pastures done. We were thankful for getting it all done yesterday because last night we got 1 1/2 inches of rain. It would be a little sloppy to work calves now.
At dinner time Tabby brought dinner out. She had potatoes, cucumber salad, corn on the cob, and cookies! It was so good, and lots of fun to eat out there.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

God is so Good!
Then saith he unto his disciples, the harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few; pray ye therfore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. Matthew 9:37-38

the goings on around here........
This is one of the best times of the year! We are getting beans, cucumbers, beats, lettuce, peas,, potatoes, and other veggies like crazy from the garden! We are starting to can too! We also are haying like crazy for the last few months. And today we are just finishing the 1st cut on the new alfalfa fields we put in this spring. Last week we started and today we finished combining our winter wheat. We just had around 260 acres so it never took too long. It's on days like today though that you feel like the most blessed person in the whole world. The Lord has blessed us with so many things!
Praise the Lord! Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever! Psalm 106:1

New colts
OK now we have the computer back so I have some pictures to show you. First post though is going to be a waaaaaaaaaaay over due one. We have some exciting news from over 3 weeks ago.
One the 14th of July Tancy finally had her baby! Tabby named him Zebedee. He is such a cute guy but is kind of little considering how long he was in the oven.
And then on the 6th of August Dandy had her little guy too. Janae named him Maverick! They are such cute little guys. Mesa is a little out numbered with Poncho, Larado, Maverick, and Zebedee all being boys. :)
Let all that you do be done in Love.

an over due post
This last week and a 1/2 has been a busy one. We had VBS and lots of other stuff going one. I have lots of pictures of VBS and other stuff that I will try to put on the blog later. Right now I'm on Tabby's computer because the family one is at the computer hospital. Sorry!
One of our favorite things to do is to explore old barns and buildings.
Paul had his friend Bready down for one of the nights of Bible School
We had tons of fun with all the kids. They were such a treat to work with. We all pray that some of these little hearts were reached for Jesus.
Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
