This morning I woke up to the beautiful sight of hoar frost all over.  I love to wake up this a hoar frost morning.  For some reason it just makes me think how blessed I am to have all that I do.  When you walk through the trees and there is white all around you it is something you need to experience if you haven't before.  It takes your breath away, I stand in Awe.

Job 37:10  By the breath of God frost is given: and the breath of the waters is straitened. Job 37:10

Our Day

This morning we said our good byes to Tabby and Kayla as they started back to Union College.  They are almost back, they left at 11:00.
It has been nice here the last 3 days,  in the 30s.  Today we got a lot done outside while the weather lasted.  Lately we have been keeping busy with feeding cows and calves.  This year we kept all our calves back and are back rounding them and then selling them next spring.  We are giving them a diet diffrent amounts of corn, silage, mineral, and a by productsof ethanol in their diet.
we are also doing school, piano, cleaning the house, and all kinds of other stuff.

I thought I would show you some pictures of our day.  This picture is of Paul on the computer looking up some stuff that he is interested in.  He enjoys doing stuff like that.  He  like finding deals and comparing different website to see witch one is a better site.
This picture is of Jody playing on the piano out of our new Christmas book we just got yesterday.  We started our first piano lesson 3 weeks ago and sense, been spending even more time playing piano.  We all have enjoyed taking piano lesson at one time or another in our live.  We have all enjoyed it too.
Today for School we worked on our Algebra.  With Mom teaching high school math for 10 years we have always had the best math teacher ever.  At least in our eyes we do.

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello all!  I hope everyone had a really great Thanksgiving We did.  We weren't sure if everyone we had invited were going to make it because it was a little icy out.  But God saw fit that we should spend the day with friends and family even if we were stuck inside being it was -35 degrees wind chill.

Paul is always excited to spend time with Leyton and Brannen.  Most of the time they were down in the basement playing legos, all 3 of them love legos.
Mom made this really yummy Thanksgiving dinner.  Susie brought some yummy food too.  We had much to be Thankful for while we ate, that's for sure.

Then right after dinner out came the games.  We played Scrabble, camp, othello, and lots of other games.
Bowen is sooooooooooo cute he is such a sweet baby.
This is Kayla and Bowen
 Paul and Brannen
Tabby brought home a really yummy recipe for these cute cup cake pies.
Then to finish the evening we played a big game of Pictionary
Bowen fell asleep in Jody's arms.  After all the passing around he had to put up with, he must of been tired.
Us 5 kids secretly bought a dozen fall colored roses for Mom.  She was so excited, it made our day to do this little act of kindness for her.  She liked them a lot.

I would love to have everyone leave a comment and tell us something you are greatful for!

In erverything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  1 Thessalonians 5:18

New book shelves

The last 2 week we've been really busy with cleaning up in general but mostly the back bed room.  My Uncle Kimber works in a cabinet shop and got us some really nice book shelves for the North wall.   So with the need to clean out for the book shelves we made it pretty much a full house cleaning session.

We moved the computer out of the back bedroom into the living room.
Jody and I had the job of pudding cracks shut so we could paint.
Another not so pleasant job was scrapeing old wall paper off.
One of my favorite things about redoing the back room was looking at different colors to paint the back room. It was almost as much fun to paint as it was to pick the color.
It was fun to work together and then to see the progressing project.
 Mom redoing the base board.
Then Sabbath afternoon Kimber, Tami, and Cara came down and after sundown Kimber put the new book shelves in.
the finished product!
