Wagon Train

This week we went on a wagon train that our friends the Sunds and Foerderers put on.  We had a good time being with friends and getting to know new ones. Monday we went out about 12 miles with 5 wagons, horse riders, and a bunch of people on foot.  We camped in a spot with some trees and a nice spring for fresh water.  Tuesday we learned how to make soap, rugs, and rage dolls, also how to spin wool, throw hatchets, and start a fire with flint.  Then in the afternoon we all worked together to make rope which we used for tug-of-wars and other games.  We played untill evening and had tons of fun. Wednesday we got up early and got our stuff all ready to go, we left camp at 9am and started home.  The trip home went over 2 hours faster because the horses knew we were heeded home and it wasn't 90+ degrees like Monday.  I'm thankful for all the people who worked hard to put this together for us all to have a great time.
